Light oak or waxed oak? What’s the difference?
Light Oak finish is the natural colour of the oak board enhanced by the application of three coats of lacquer. This makes the timber appear slightly warmer and richer.
Waxed oak is very similar but for the final coat we apply a light coloured wax which is buffed to a sheen. A small amount of the wax stays visible within the grain of the wood making it look a shade lighter and fully revealing the beauty of the oak.
